Habitat For Humanity

Volunteers Needed from VCC, Sat. August 2nd!
The Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity has received a grant from Thrivent Build Homes to build two homes in Chino and is reaching out to local Lutheran churches for volunteers. 12 volunteers are needed for the Saturday, August 2 work day.
Let's show our support! If you are age 16 or older and are interested in volunteering, please contact Pastor Erick for more information.

"Love The Unlovable" (Luke 6:27-36)

Recently there was a poll taken of college students to find out which saying of Jesus they were most familiar with. Overwhelmingly, the most familiar saying was “Love Your Enemies.” More than anything else, this aspect of Christianity sticks out. But everything about this statement is contrary to the nature of man. We see our enemies and we want them to experience justice (of course justice as defined by us). With this fact in mind, how can we possibly love our enemies? The answer is found, as it always is, in Jesus Christ. He shows us how to love our enemies and can empower us to do so! Next week, Pastor Erick will continue in the series in Luke with a message from the Word of God entitled, “Love the Unlovable”.
